myLot Discussions on May 25th| May 25th - National Tap Dance Day - Do you tap dance? | | National Tap Dance Day (A US legislative resolution designating National Tap Dance Day here in the US passed Congress making it so a few years ago. May 25th was chosen because it is Bill "Bojangles" Robinson's birthday. Many of the larger (and not so large) cities have tap dance performances to coincide with this date.)I took one year of ballet when I was in first grade. Let's say I was not asked to come back. I am not graceful.I always wanted to learn how to tap dance but when I was a kid the lessons always coincided with my brother's football practice.

| | Race results for Friday May 25th | | My s/o drove the new #33R IMCA Modified for the first time at our local dirt track. The springs were a little too hard but he pulled off a 6th place finish on the lead lap. It was a clean race for him with no damage and no repairs were needed.His 17 year old drove the former #33R now renumbered #33A. It was his first time driving an IMCA Modified for an entire feature although he had "hot lapped" it before. He finished in 8th, one lap down after getting spun out. It almost didn't make it out on the track at all because of a suspected fuel pump problem. LOL It turned out that our 2 year old little helper had flipped the fuel switch to off earlier in the day! There was no major damage done except for one motor mount breaking.The #33A 4 cylinder mini stock was driven by a friend for the night and had a DNF. A flat tire took him out early and problems in the pit area kept him from getting back out on the track within the required amount of time.The new #33R is off to another track tonight with just 2 extra pit crew members beside my s/o. His oldest son will be helping as usual and for the first time his only daughter (15 years old) has decided to pitch in.Hopefully the... | |

I was not surprised When I was diagnosed with adenomyosis with endometriotic cyst on right ovary because most of my cousins in my mother side have this kind of illness and they had underwent surgery. My doctors gave me pills to alleviate my menstrual pain and they said it will help reduce the size of my cyst.But after six months my cyst did not decrease in size.After few visits with my OB-gyne, she told me about the risks of having endometriotic cyst. It can lead to cancer and infertility.That was the time that I got worried. One day, I chance upon a prayer book and I read the story of St.Peregrine. He is the Patron saint of cancer patients .I remembered that St.Peregrine's shrine is just a stone throw away from my uncle's abode. So, I went there and attended the healing sessions. I have attended healing sessions for the fifth time already and last May 25th I had my ultrasound. I was glad that the size of my cyst reduced from 7 cm to 6.2 cm. aside from attending the healing session every sunday I coupled it with shunning away from eating red meat and processed food. Since then, I became a St.Peregrine devotee. | |
| | A fun day awhile back | | This year my birthday (May 25th) fell on Memorial Day. Myself, my wife, our daughter and 3 of the grandkids all went to the Como Zoo for the day. We had a blast especially in the conservatory checking out all the plants. Got some neat photos as well. This is me hiding in sopme of the ferns in the tropical area. | | Spring is in the air! (yeah right) | | Well it is officially Spring according to the calendar. But I live in Minnesota and we don't start enjoying Sopring until April or May even sometimes. This is due to the fact we can and have gotten snow into May sopme years. My birthday is May 25th and I recall snow falloing on it many years ago. Anyhow this shot shows my lovely spring day today. Snow, rain, ice, slippery roads and not very warm. A windchill of 8 degrees F. In spring? So what is your spring weather like? Are you still having cold windy cloudy days? Planting your gardens yet?

| | Just had my 2nd child. Any advice?? | | Seriously how do you guys that have more than 2 children stay sane??
I just had my second child last month May 25th and my oldest is 3 years. I am adjusting to the newness of having 2 kids, but sometimes I feel like I am going to go out of my mind!!
So any advice from Mommy's or Daddy's with more than 1 child would be helpful!
