| Brand New CD | | So you get home from the store with a brand new CD, or the CD you ordered finally arrives in the mail. That would make you happy.Then comes the BIG dissappointment. The plastic wrap on the CD refuses to come off! You don't really want to take a razor blade to cut it because it would probably ruin the jewel case, the case that the CD comes in. Finally, when you finally get a rip in that plastic wrap, & carefully start making headway, the piece you are holding onto just tears away. Finally, you're struggling, carefully clawing at the plastic wrap & have it come off in pieces. Then just when you get half of it off, you start trying to pull out the CD & casing from the rest of the stubborn wrapper. After more struggling, you finally get the wrapper off.Just when you think you're done, you find another obstacle, that being that sticky scotch-tape-like thingie on the top of the jewel case that won't let you open it. You find that tab that says "PULL" stuck to the case also. Then you struggle to get that off, one sliver or small piece at a time.By the time it's all done, you may find yourself too pooped out to listen to the CD that... | |

| Brand new or Used Gold/White gold jewelries | | I am a buy and sell entrepreneur. Since branded jewelries are so expensive if bought brand new, i buy it used but in very good condition with original box then sell it to my clients with a little lower than its selling price for installment basis. They know that its slightly used though. My reasoning is that there's no really difference with a slightly used 18K Gold than a brand new one. The weight of the jewelry is the same and the brand doesn't change. After you use what you bought brand new even for just a few hours it is automatically considered used right? How about you? Do you choose brand new 18k jewelries than slightly used ones? Why and why not? | |
| | We're getting a brand, new mattress. Hoiw and why? | | How? By using our Federal tax money. Why? There is a whole (hole?-have trouble with those two)on my hubby's side of the bed that is big enough for him to put a pillow on the springs, a towel over that and then the sheet. That's what he's been sleeping on. If we had recycled mattresses, we would get that. But we don't have a recycler or a distributer for either here. So what's frugal? A $250 mattress is guaranteed for 5 years and a $350 is guaranteed for 10. So we're getting a 10 year guaranteed one. That will save us $150 down the line. Yes, I know, I looked at mattresses at yard sales and so on. But they were all in pretty bad shape. If we got a year out of them, I would be surprised. Also, if you watched dirty jobs, when they did mattress recycling, you know you don't want someone else's mattress. 10 lbs of dead skin, dust mites, bedbugs, bodily fluids, etc. The 2nd hand mattresses I looked at had stains and all I could think of were various bodily fluids. So what are you doing for a mattress? When is yours due to be past its guarantee? What will you do for a new one? Are you getting government money back? What are your plans for it? | Is it better to join a PTC site when it's brand new or if it is old and proven? | | Ok, so I just joined 2 very new PTC sites (bout 1000 members at the moment) in exchange for a gagabux referral. So it made me wonder, is it better when it is new so not many people have joined yet so it's much easier to get direct referrals or are we better off with the old and proven ones even though it is kind of congested already?I don't mind trying out these new sites cos as I have mentioned in my previous posts clicking calms me down anyway.
