| Wally Big Boy | | Here is my big boy wally. He weighs in at 25lbs and i think he hold it in quite well. He is a big mommas boy. He likes to be held all the time. When he was a baby he looked like a tribble from off of star track. He is my favorite baby but i love my princess peggy too.
Wally seems to be frightened by loud noises. He dislikes men except my boyfriend. I think after all the years we been together i think he is use to him by now. He loves to be brushed and is a good boy when it comes to his summer time hair buzz cut. Do you think shaving the cats are bad? What do you think, isnt wally handsome. He is a real man. I say that because he never wants his butt touched at any time. Its not like i am a perv but you know when you are petting them or even brushing him and i get down by the tail area, he sits and swats my hand everytime. He doesnt even let peggy sniff his butt. | Fight Over 5-Legged Puppy | | http://www.wyff4.com/news/20155307/detail.htmlLilly a Chihuahua/Terrier mix came into this world in June 2009. She was sold on July 19, 2009. Lilly's 5th leg was between her 2 hind legs. They were showing a video of the puppy running around the house. She's cute as a button & didn't even notice the extra leg. A gentleman (if you can call him that) that runs a Coney Island Freak of Nature show claims he had made arrangements to buy the puppy. A local woman who heard of the deal paid $6,000 for the puppy & planned on having the 5th leg removed next week. Once Mr freak show heard of it, he made arrangements to sue to get the puppy. Apparently the lady has some money and/or one of the biggest hearts I've ever heard of. She had the 5th leg removed yesterday so the freak show guy would no longer have the need for the puppy. I have not heard yet how the puppy is dong. I hope that she will be just fine when it's all said & done. I think this woman is a hero!!! What's your thoughts??? | |
| | 5 legged dog | | I got an assignment yesterday in my ethics class that asks us to find a news story that deals with an ethical issue. I have to discuss it in person with someone and online with people and write a paper about my experience. With that being said, I had no idea what I wanted to write about until I saw the news last night. A woman in my town rescued a 5 legged dog from being sold to a freakshow owner in Coney Island. She paid $4000 to keep the dog out of the freakshow and also paid for the dog to have surgery to remove the fifth leg. What do you think about the woman who rescued the dog? What do you think about the guy who runs the freakshow? Do you think these freakshows should be allowed to exploit animals, and sometimes people, with defects? How does animal rights come into play in this situation? Your well-thought out responses would be very much appreciated since I have to write a short paper about this and turn it in on Monday. | My Fuzzy 4 Legged Children | | After our son died people started telling us we needed to get a pet. DH didn't like cats but a dog was out bc we couldn't walk it. So we started looking for 2 kittens. We ended up with our two fuzzy childern Bubba & Stripe. DH picked out Stripe, she is a black & white short hair. I picked Bubba, he is a yellow long hair. They are so sweet and they make us smile & laugh no matter how sad we are. DH calls himself Daddy when he talkes to them. And I'm the Momma Kitty or Nunu. I laugh at DH too bc he can't remember that he didn't like cats before. LOL Our cats were resqued from a bad home. Tell me about your cats. How did you get them? | |
| | One-legged seagull | | I was at the river earlier feeding the swans and ducks when I saw a seagull on the wall. I threw some wholegrain bread in his direction but I don't think he noticed. He flew around a bit and then returned to the wall. I then noticed he was hopping and only had one leg. I felt sorry for the little guy and I couldn't help wondering what happened to him. I would have liked to have asked him how he lost his leg. More importantly I would have liked to have known how life was treating him and if he was having any trouble getting food with just one leg.This seagull seemed like an interesting bird. I tried to take his picture but he didn't stay on the wall for very long (I guess it was easier for him to fly than to stand). Have you ever seen a bird or an animal that you wished you could communicate with and find out what their life was like? | |

| | Preparing for my four legged friend | | Well my shelitie has not come yet but I have already began forking out money on her. I had to change the mixer to a shower since I need to give her a bath in the washroom basin. It costed me around 50 Euros and my brother in law came to fix it free of charge. I have to install an aluminium gate so that she wont be allowed downstairs when we are not around. The aluminium guy is going to fix it later on this evening. It's going to cost a couple of Euros. I have to do some tiling works as well to keep the washroom tidy. I do have extra tiles. All I have to pay is for the tiler only. Preparing for a dog is like preparing for a baby..... | |
